Marine Blocks & Pulleys
Blocks, ratchet pulleys, and halyard blocks for smooth line handling
A reliable block system is essential for smooth and efficient control of sheets, halyards, and control lines on board. In our primary Blocks category, Marine-Outlet offers an extensive selection of marine blocks, sheaves, and pulleys for sailboats, dinghies, and yachts. Whether you require ball-bearing blocks for ultra-low friction in light winds, heavy-duty ratchet blocks for mainsheets, or rugged plain-bearing blocks for high static loads: find the perfect hardware for your rig right here.
Ball-bearing, plain-bearing, and ratchet blocks
Our inventory includes premium blocks and rigging hardware from trusted brands such as Optiparts, Windesign, and Viadana:
-
Ball-Bearing Blocks: Provide minimal friction and instant response. Perfect for fine-tuners, vangs, and sheets that require quick trimming and easing.
-
Plain-Bearing Blocks: Extremely durable and engineered for heavy static loads, such as halyard leads at the mast base, standing rigging, or anchoring lines.
-
Ratchet Blocks: Significantly reduce holding power on mainsheets and jib sheets, giving you effortless control during heavy air conditions.
-
Double & Triple Blocks with Becket: Ideal for setting up purchase systems (such as 4:1 or 6:1) for mainsheets and boom vangs.
-
Deck Organizers, Sheaves & Fiddle Blocks: Ensures clean, low-friction line routing from the mast step back to cockpit cleats.
Durability and load capacity
Marine blocks endure extreme tension, saltwater exposure, sand, and sunlight. Our range features marine-grade stainless steel (AISI 316), anodized aluminum, and UV-stabilized composites. Choosing the correct working load and breaking strength guarantees safe operation and extends the lifespan of your running rigging.
